Tedd’s Spotlight Leg Day at Tedd’s
When it came down to creating a fully inclusive workout space for our members at Tedd’s, we knew that we had to pour our heart and soul into each and every muscle group and equipment section.
Over the years and still to this day, we have become especially proud of the opportunity we’ve created for leg day. Leg day is infamous at Tedd’s, and for good reason. We’ve dedicated an entire space on the gym floor just to lower body and we’ve filled the equipment line-up with some real memorable players.
Starting with the basics (because training doesn’t have to be complicated), Tedd’s has not one, but two leg extension machines. A staple in targeting the quads, the leg extension is a reliable, engaging piece of leg machinery that can be slotted into any workout plan. A great starter exercise or a brutal finisher, the leg extension earns its spot at Tedd’s.
Not too far from the leg extensions you’ll come cross our abductor and adductor machines. Again, another familiar face on any effective leg day, these two machines are great isolation movements perfect for those workouts demanding that added attention to detail.
Speaking of isolation, you can be damn sure Tedd’s isn’t forgetting about calves. Calf training can be a controversial topic among the fitness world, while some claim genetics dictates everything, we believe hard work and killer equipment are the key. Tedd’s is home to the plate-loaded seated calf raise machine, as well as a standing calf raise machine with keys.
Moving on to the big boys now, because a leg day is incomplete without those big compound lifts. Starting simple, the plate-loaded leg press is a leg day icon (that’s why we have three of them) and resides at the heart of our gym. It’s wide foot plate allows users to target multiple muscle groups entirely dependent on foot placement. Directly next to the leg press is our resident hack squat machine, plate-loaded and ready for you, the hack squat offers all the benefits of a traditional barbel squat but with added comfort and safety. Like it’s leg press brother in arms, it provides a generous foot plate so you can make this machine your own.
Now for things to get a little more flavoursome, at Tedd’s we’ve set out on a mission to provide a health and fitness facility like no other. This cannot be achieved without the inclusion of equipment and machines that are like no other. The following pieces of lower body equipment are truly special and we’re proud to supply them to our Tedd’s Champions. The Panatta Vertical Leg Press is a sight to behold, both similar to its tradition counterpart and completely different. The pendulum squat machine provides a new way to squat that promotes freedom and comfort above all else.
